The American Association of Orthodontists® recommends that all children have a consultation with an orthodontist by age 7. In certain situations, and to avoid bigger problems in the future, starting Our Servicesorthodontic treatment at that time may be the best treatment for your child. However, in the majority of situations, it makes more sense to monitor your child’s dental development until more permanent teeth erupt and the time may be right for treatment.
That’s where our Ascenders program comes in.
We call it the Ascenders program because our ultimate goal for your child is for them to be the best version of themselves they can be. It is during this time that that we will strive to encourage them to have good oral health and to eat healthy foods so that they can grow and thrive. We will monitor their facial and dental development to ensure their teeth and facial bones are developing properly.
Our visits are usually on a semi-annual to annual basis until we determine whether your child will benefit from orthodontic treatment. We generally will take photos of your child’s teeth and occasionally update radiographs to make sure that we can help guide your child’s teeth into the most optimal position their body will allow.
These visits are generally complimentary and are just another way we are proud to give back to our community.
